Switch mode chargers are smaller, lighter and faster to charge than linear chargers, which form the other charger technology. Particularly significant are the environmentally-friendly and energyefficient aspects of the switch mode chargers: their energy and raw material consumption is approximately 60-70% lower than that of linear chargers. In addition, the smaller size of switch mode chargers enables lower transport costs.
